New for 2026

Journey Cover Band for Two Hours!
DEPARTURE is a true Journey tribute band, recreating the look, sound, and feel of the legendary ’80s rock supergroup, not just playing the songs. Featuring lead vocalist Brian Williams, known for his spot-on Steve Perry range and stage presence, DEPARTURE delivers a full, high-energy show packed with all the hits. They are the most renowned Journey tribute band on the East Coast, with more than 30,000 social media followers and over 100 performances each year. For Gears and Grub 2026, this will also be the lowest ticket price of their entire tour, about half the cost of any other stop.
Skate with the Ghost Pirates
Hit the ice with Savannah’s own Ghost Pirates, the city’s professional ECHL hockey team. Known for fast-paced play, big energy, and a fan-friendly game-night atmosphere at Enmarket Arena, the Ghost Pirates bring major-league spirit to the Lowcountry. We’re planning a special “Skate with the Ghost Pirates” experience as part of Gears & Grub 2026. More details on timing, tickets, and how it will work are coming

SCAD Next-Gen Electric Vehicle Design Showcase
Get an up-close look at a next-generation electric vehicle concept created by students at the Savannah College of Art and Design. This project brought together talent across multiple SCAD schools and campuses to develop EV designs built to “bring the joy back to driving” and connect with Gen Z and Gen Alpha drivers.
Developed through SCAD’s hands-on, real-world approach to industrial design, the team moved from ideation to build, giving students experience across design, fabrication, and interior development while contributing to a fully functional electric car.
Twiggy the Water Skiing Squirrel
Twiggy is bringing her world-famous water skiing show to Gears and Grub for the first-ever performance in Effingham. Entertaining audiences since 1979, Twiggy has become a must-see family attraction with a fast-paced, fun show that kids and adults both love. You may even recognize Twiggy from the movie Anchorman.
Plan to catch one of three performances during Gears and Grub, and come early for a good viewing spot. Between the stunts, photo-worthy moments, and crowd-friendly energy, Twiggy is a great addition to a full day of food, cars, and entertainment.

Megamorph: The Transforming Car
See MEGAMORPH in person at Gears and Grub, a full-size Chevy Camaro that transforms into a robot right in front of the crowd. The show begins with music, lighting, and smoke effects, then the vehicle converts into a robot standing nearly 15 feet tall. This attraction is designed to be fun for all ages and makes for a great photo and video moment.
